 Kathleen Rozzi

Kathleen has been a Speech Language Pathologist with over 20 years experience, including 10 years in Early Intervention. She graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelors degree in communication disorders. Kathleen then went on to earn a Masters at Pittsburgh University in Speech Pathology. She is a long standing member of PSHA and ASHA.

 Susan Strait


 Connie Nelson, DPT

Connie brings a wealth of experience in Physical Therapy to AVID Learning. She earned a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Duquesne University in 1994, and completed her Doctorate at Chatham University in 2010. She has an extensive background in child development, play, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, kinesiology, sensory-motor functioning and psycho-social behavior. She uses a holistic approach, and words with families and the other professionals on the team to enhance the quality of life and the functional abilities of the children she treats.

 Marcie Torreance, MEd.

Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a Master’s of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from NOVA Southeastern University, in Florida. Throughout Marcie’s career as an educator she has worked with a variety of children with disabilities and their families. Marcie was a Special Education teacher for 8 years. She worked as an emotional support teacher for children from grade 3 to grade 10. She also taught middle school age children utilizing multi-sensory structured language approaches. She recently has worked as a Behavioral Specialist Consultant. During this experience she worked directly with children from age 3 to 15 who were identified as having Autism Spectrum Disorder and children having a behavioral diagnosis and their families.
